Homestead® Feeds were created to fill the growing demands by beef, swine and poultry producers for high quality antibiotic free and animal protein free feeds. Our roots in the feed business go back almost a hundred years when the company, then known as Hubbard Milling, began developing its reputation of quality products upon the principles of sound nutrition, concern for the animals and reliable ingredients. Today, with the growth of natural, antibiotic free and animal protein free markets, Hubbard Feeds takes the next step with its Homestead® Brand. This brand provides assurance for those producers and marketers who value traceability, safety and reliability.
Through years of testing and research, Hubbard has understood that great feeds can only come from great ingredients. Only ingredients from approved suppliers are purchased for use in our feeds and all ingredients are thoroughly checked before being allowed into our plants.
Even though Hubbard has quietly grown from its humble beginnings in the Minnesota River Valley to one of the largest feed companies in North America, concern over quality has never waned. In fact, this growth and continued push for food safety drove Hubbard to become the first feed manufacturer to be ISO 9001 and HACCP certified. This means doing everything possible to eliminate errors and verify that the critical points during the manufacturing process are checked and rechecked. It also means we make sure that your feed can be made in the same safe way, in each of 22 plants, every day.
